Hello, I have an opportunity to buy cheap siemens ST55 and ST60 mobile phones. The ST60 is more expensive. It looks like the phones are built on exactly the same hardware, but only with different software. So my questions are:

1) do ST55 and ST60 have the same mainboard and camera and display? (keyboard does not matter)
2) can i flash ST55 to ST60?
3) if not, can i add JAVA support somehow to ST55?
4) are there any patches fot ST55 or ST60, like for other siemens mobile phones? (i cant find any)
5) what else can you mod on your ST55/ST60, besides patching?

1) and mainboard? the processor etc...

4) how come not? if you can flash the phone, than you must be able to patch it also. maybe not by writing directly to phone at address xxx if it does not support this, but by writing an full new (patched) firmware. or isnt it as easy as i think?

hmm didnt knew that. So how do you flash ST series without v_klay? some link to service stuff would be neat

btw i have also never used ST series, but always wanted one. and i like phone modding :P

What's kind of modify do you like?

And flash programs to maybe just update software? And i checked the first topic on this forum and there is a link to change menu icons for ST and some ringtone stuff. But the link does not work

sw modifying that adds some useful/important/neat featuresor lets me change the phone graphics :P for example elves and mp3 (ringtones also) on my m65->cx70 fw56 and also many patches including elves and sysgfx on my SE d750i->k750i.

oh hell thats bad where can we get the program now? maybe someone who has a copy could upload it here!

folks i have found it all. On one excellent website, there is everything you need for your ST. Unfortunately the creator of the website doesnt wish to share address on forums to reduce traffic. if you need something (flashers or fw) drop me a line
